Membership Classes
In accordance with Article Eleven of our Bylaws, membership is open to individuals meeting IRS 501(c)(19) requirements.
Class A: Regular Members (Voting)
Individuals at least 18 years of age who are members in good standing of Fleet Reserve Association (FRA) Branch 172. Regular members hold exclusive voting rights on Club matters and director elections.
Class B: Associate Members (Non-Voting)
Individuals at least 18 years of age who meet one of the following criteria:
- Past or present members of the U.S. Armed Forces who are not members of FRA Branch 172.
- Spouses, widows, widowers, ancestors, or lineal descendants (children/grandchildren) of a past or present military veteran.
- Students in a college/university ROTC program or at an Armed Services academy.
- Individuals demonstrating commitment to Club values, subject to IRS percentage requirements.
Application Process
Membership is subject to review and approval by the Board of Directors. All applicants must provide sufficient information to ensure compliance with our tax-exempt status.
How to Apply:
- Download: Click the button below to get the official Membership Application.
- Complete: Fill out all sections, including your Branch of Service and Rank/Rate (for veterans) or your relationship to a veteran (for family members).
- Verify: Be prepared to provide proof of service, such as a DD Form 214 or VA ID.
- Submit: Turn in your written application and required dues to the Club Manager or a Board Member at the club.
